What did this Reddit thread actually point to?
The Idle Breakout link post was created on 24 January 2019 in r/incremental_games. It links to kodiqi.itch.io and describes unlocking and upgrading brick-breaking balls. We opened the post and its early comments on 5 October 2026; it was archived.
The opening comment described browser and Windows play. A reply from the account identifying itself as Kodiqi said a plasma-ball bug had been fixed. That is a dated exchange about a particular issue, not a current instruction to enable effects or proof that every version behaves the same. We checked the linked game rather than treating the thread’s popularity as a gameplay test.
What happened when we followed the creator link?
The creator’s browser entry loaded a Level 1 board. Clicking a 1-value brick removed it. Buying one $25 Basic Ball changed the count from 0/50 to 1/50, and it bounced through the bricks without further input for each hit. The upgrade panel then showed separate Speed, Power and Click X options. A $100 speed purchase changed the next speed offer from 1 → 2 to 2 → 3.
The settings corner displayed v1.091 and warned that saves use local browser storage. Our Idle Breakout first-ball guide includes the original screenshots and explains why the existing money balance is not a pristine-start example. We did not test offline earnings or import a different save.
How should you use other Reddit recommendations?
- Check the post date and whether the author links to the creator’s current page.
- Look for the actual action: clicking for output, automatic production, research, or another loop. “Idle” alone does not specify the input.
- Read a concern in context: browser, platform, version and whether the creator replied.
- Try the real entry and distinguish a loaded page from playable progress before trusting save or offline claims.
This single thread does not establish a subreddit consensus or a best-games list. For an alternative within this site, our mechanics guide compares real timber production and studio projects, and the tycoon collection links directly to those games.
